Healthy Batch Cooking Waffles (XXL Freezer Recipe)
Need a lifesaver for busy mornings? This is my favorite Batch Cooking recipe. I make a huge batch at once, and they freeze perfectly. In the morning, just pop them in the toaster and they are ready!
They are naturally sweetened with dates and bananas (zero refined sugar) and made with whole wheat flour to keep you full all morning.
Pro Tip : This recipe is designed to make a very large volume to fill the freezer. If this is your first time trying it, I recommend dividing the ingredients by two to start!
The XXL Recipe (Freezer Special)
Ingredients :
6 Eggs
360g Bananas (very ripe and mashed)
450g Date Paste
450ml Milk (dairy or plant-based)
75g Vegetable Oil
750g Whole Wheat Flour
100g Chocolate Chips (or chunks)
Vanilla extract and a pinch of salt
Preparation :
Mix the eggs, mashed bananas, date paste, milk, oil, and vanilla.
Incorporate the flour and salt.
Gently add the chocolate chips.
Cooking time: About 3 min for small waffles, or 7 min for large ones (depends on your machine).
Let them cool completely before putting them in the freezer.
Serving Ideas : Feel free to add a gourmet touch on top! We love them with a bit of whipped cream, fresh fruit, jam, or just a knob of butter. Enjoy!
